The best value at the Inn. A corner room with views to the north and west, looking out toward the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The only downstairs room at the Inn, with an 11 foot ceiling and easy access from the hall.
One of our most popular rooms. Beautifully decorated, very cozy and comfortable.
One of the largest rooms in the Inn. Look through the original window glass from the 1860s, out over the front yard and the horseshoe area to the distant mountains.
A two room suite in the old part of the house, built in 1860. The front section came later, added after the Civil War.
Tell us about your trip and we will point you to the right one. Walkers like the Bush Room for early starts; waterfall lovers should ask about rooms facing the creek side of the house.
Ask the innA stand alone modern cabin on the stream below the waterfall, still part of the estate and still six minutes from downtown Brevard.
Two porches: one looks out at the waterfall, the other over the stream. A beautiful waterfall is just steps from the door, and the creek runs right beside the cabin.
A wonderful breakfast is included in our rates. Sip your coffee on the front porch and watch the fog slowly lift while the smell of breakfast fills the air. Guests with dietary restrictions are looked after too; tell us when you book and the kitchen will plan around you.
Every afternoon between 3 and 4 p.m. there are complimentary refreshments, tea and cookies, on the house.
For dinner, The Pavilion, our seasonal tapas style restaurant by the creek, serves dinner Thursday through Sunday, with a menu that changes weekly. On other nights, downtown Brevard is 10 minutes away. The Pavilion also hosts private catered dinners around the fire, marshmallows for s'mores included.

The inn was originally the Patton House, built by Charles Patton, a native of Transylvania County, in the 1860s. The back section went up before the Civil War; the larger front section followed after it. Wood, sand and layered rock were hauled down from the mountainside behind the house.
Today the five bedrooms each have their own bath, updated with cultured marble and tile. The front porch has a terrific view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, coffee in the morning and a dazzling sunset in the evening.
The estate keeps you busy without leaving the grounds: the Key Falls Trail begins at the inn, there is a tennis court, a horseshoe pit, and a pond where you can fish for bass or bream. The Pavilion restaurant sits next to the creek.
The estate is also a wedding and events venue. If you are planning one, contact the inn and the events team will walk you through it.
Transylvania County is called the Land of Waterfalls, and Key Falls sits between two great forests. Here is how our guests make the most of it, with honest notes from the inn.
